My pretty earmoulds impressed the boys One day when my husband and I are shopping, my husband nudges me to get my attention since I am hearing impaired. He tells me that the two boys standing close to the counter want to ask me something.

When I have paid they are waiting for me. The braver of them says in a loud and clear voice that he would like to ask me something. ‘Ask away’, I say.

He wants to know where I have bought the cool headphones for my walkman. What he referred to were my earmoulds which are intensely blue. I couldn’t help laughing when I told them that I use my ‘headphones’ to hear what is being said. The boys shouted as in one voice: ‘Wow, cool!’
