Changing the battery - completely-in-canal hearing aid

Here you can see how to change the hearing aid battery.

Change the battery as follows:

Hold the hearing aid over a table or a soft surface when changing the battery to avoid damaging the hearing aid if you drop it and to make it easier to find a dropped battery.

Open the battery drawer and remove the battery.

Remove the sealing label from the new battery.

Insert the new battery in the special round holder built into the battery drawer – remember that the plus (+) sign on the battery must face in the direction indicated by the plus (+) sign printed on the round battery holder.

Close the battery drawer carefully – if the battery drawer does not close easily, the battery may have been incorrectly inserted.

It will usually take a few seconds before the new battery works. This is because the battery is not activated until air gets inside of it.

Never leave an exhausted battery in the hearing aid

Used batteries tend to leak sooner or later. This could damage the hearing aid, so it is important to remove an exhausted battery from the hearing aid immediately.

Also remember to remove the battery if the hearing aid will not be used again soon (1-2 weeks or more) - this way you can prevent the hearing aid from being damaged by a leaking battery.
