Follow the Widex Marathon Team live in China
A team of hearing aid professionals will run the Great Wall Marathon in China on May 19th 2007.
The aim of the event is to raise awareness about the problem of hearing impairment, and to send a message to the world that – thanks to modern technology – help is at hand for people with hearing loss.
For each kilometre run by a member of the Widex Marathon Team, Widex will make a sponsorship donation to Deaflympics 2009. The company will donate 3 euro for every kilometre each team member runs and 5 euro for each minute he or she completes the race below the time of five and a half hours.
Live-tracking of the marathon will be set up for all runners in the Widex Marathon Team. The runners will be equipped with a GPS that allows them to be followed during the race both on-site and via the internet. Watch the live transmission at
