Inteo nominated for top design award
Widex has been shortlisted for the prestigious INDEX: 2007 design awards. Our highly successful Inteo hearing aid is nominated in the Body section of the awards. INDEX: is an international non-profit organization that promotes life-improving design and is the worlds biggest design award.
Unlike other design awards, INDEX: looks beyond form and function to assess the overall context of a product, including its impact on society and benefits for users. Therefore, the nomination of Inteo recognises not just the high quality of its design but also its invaluable contribution in improving life for people with hearing loss.
According to Peter Hentze Knudsen, PR Manager at Widex, the nomination of Inteo reflects the overall approach of Widex to product design. ‘As well as being functional and well designed, a hearing aid should be able to help the user,’ he says. ‘This is the basic philosophy behind Widex as we believe strongly in giving people with hearing loss the same opportunities for communication as those with normal hearing.’
The winners of the INDEX: award will be presented on August 24th.
