New office in Russia

A press conference was held in May at the Royal Danish Embassy in Moscow hosted by Danish Ambassador Dr. Lars Vissing.

The occasion was the opening of a Widex subsidiary in Russia. Among the guests were three Russian children that had been fitted with Widex hearing aids at the company’s headquarters in Denmark three years ago.
During the conference, Mrs. Leongard, head of the Leongard Institute, as well as the children themselves told of their very positive experiences with these hearing aid fittings.

Widex has also donated hearing aids to Russian World War II veterans. At the press conference, Mr. Erik Westermann, co-founder of Widex, express his pleasure at being able to help these war veterans. Mr. Westermann also spoke of his experiences during the war where he was sent to a German concentration camp together with many other Danish freedom fighters.

Mr. Andrey Danyak, Director of Widex Russia, was presented an original Senso Diva chip wafer by Mr. Anders Westermann, Widex Vice President of finance, to mark the occasion.
