Inauguration of Widex’ new premises in Switzerland | On 23 March 2004, the new three-storey building of Widex AG, Switzerland, was inaugurated. This was celebrated with the entire management of the Danish parent company in Vaerloese, including one of the founders, Mr Erik Westermann. Among the guests were also the Danish ambassador in Switzerland, Dan Nielsen, and the mayor of Wallisellen, Otto Halter.
“With the development of the world’s first 100% digital hearing aid, Senso, and the new generation, Senso Diva, in Denmark, the Swiss subsidiary has also experienced a real boom“, said Max Wattinger, Managing Director of Widex AG, Switzerland, when looking back on the company’s history. He was in charge of Audio-Service GmbH, which in 1978 became Widex AG, and has experienced the growth of the company. In 1988, the company only had four employees - today it has approx. 30. With the Senso boom it became clear that the company needed larger premises.
In his opening speech, Mr Jan Tøpholm, Managing Director and CEO of Widex A/S, Denmark, thanked the mayor and the architect on the building project for a good working relationship. He also stressed the many opportunities that the new premises would provide for continued development of Widex AG, Switzerland.
