Bristish Olympic Diver wins Widex Sponsorship

Tony Ally who is a champion diver and one of Britain’s major medal hopes at the forthcoming Olympics, has received a sponsorship award from Widex. Tony, who has a hearing loss on both ears, wears two Senso Diva ITEs.

30 year old Tony was born and brought up in London. He moved to Yorkshire 10 years ago so he could train with other diving team members at the Pondsforde International Sports Centre in Sheffield.

The sponsorship deal was set up by his hearing aid audiologist, Stuart Hinchliffe of Sheffield-based Hearing Services and PC Werth Ltd, distributors for Widex and Senso Diva in the UK.

Tony comments: “My Senso Diva hearing aids have changed my life. I was diagnosed with a hearing disorder when I was a kid, but because I didn’t want to wear those large, ugly hearing aids I refused to do anything about it. That all changed when I was introduced to the extremely small digital hearing aids made by Widex. My new Senso Divas are so small most people don’t event notice them! And they help me to hear everywhere, especially in noisy situations. I can even wear them during my dry training”

Tony adds: “This sponsorship will help me to train full-time as all professional athletes need to do. It will also raise my profile and that of my sport and help me to support my family.”
