Paediatric conference in Hong Kong boasted leading researchers. | In December 2004 Hong Kong hosted an International Conference on Recent Developments in Paediatric Audiology. The conference was organised by the Hong Kong Society of Audiology and took take place the 3rd, 4th and 5th of December at the Hotel Miramar in Hong Kong.
The conference boasted the presence of many high-profile guest speakers in paediatric audiology such as Dr. Theresa Ching (NAL, Australia), Dr. Anne Marie Tharpe (Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences, Vanderbilt University, U.S.A.) and Dr. Yvonne Sininger (Professor, Department of surgery, University of California, U.S.A).
Widex China, Widex Hong Kong and Widex A/S had joined forces to become Diamond sponsors of the venue. Widex A/S and Widex Hong Kong also contributed with a guest speaker, Dr. Sheila Pratt (President of the American Academy of Pediatric Audiology), for the pre-conference workshop on ‘Aural Rehabilitation for Hearing Impaired Young Children’.
