Widex and D. Chryssikos celebrate 10th anniversary in Greece

On 8-9 October 2004, Widex Denmark and D. Chryssikos & Co. celebrated the 10th anniversary of their cooperation in Thessalonica, Greece. At the same time, D. Chryssikos & Co. celebrated its 20th anniversary.

The event

The big event was held at the beautiful Macedonia Palace Hotel and included a press conference at which Widex Denmark was represented by Mr. Reeslev, D. Chryssikos & Co by Mr. D. Chryssikos, and Ahepa University Hospital by Professor Danilides. The festivities also included an open house event for invited Widex hearing aid users from all over Greece and a grand gala dinner for more than 200 doctors, business partners, officials and media.

Mr. D. Chryssikos and Mrs. Anais is rewarded

During the gala dinner, Mr. Abildtrup, former Export Manager and now retired, and Mr. Reeslev, Area Manager from Widex Denmark, delivered speeches. Mr. D. Chryssikos and his wife, Mrs. Anais, were rewarded with a framed wafer of 3216 individual processors designed for Senso Diva hearing aids as a symbol and in recognition of the successful cooperation.

Afterwards, Professor Danilides, head of the ENT & audiology department of Ahepa University Hospital, gave a speech focusing on the social consequences of hearing loss. He said, “in Greece we are having around 60,000 children faced with hearing problems”. He stated that not treating hearing impairment is economically and socially unwise for society as a whole.

In his speech, Mr. Abildtrup presented the background to and history of the successful cooperation between Widex Denmark and D. Chryssikos. Mr. Reeslev in his speech pointed out that “2004 is proving to be the best year for Widex in Greece and the future prospects and our expectations of continuous developments are very positive”.
