Hong Kong celebrity presides at the opening of a new Widex centre. | As the leading hearing healthcare specialist in Hong Kong, Widex Hong Kong has been helping bridge the gap between people with a hearing loss and people with normal hearing for nearly two decades. After Kowloon and Hong Kong Island, a third hearing healthcare centre was inaugurated by a typical Chinese lion dance in the New Territories.
Presiding at the inauguration of this third outlet in the New Territories was, among others, Jacqueline Law, a Hong Kong born actress whose hearing was reduced after a scuba diving accident 10 years ago. Her hearing threshold on her left ear was found to be immeasurable at equipment limit, and her right ear is suffering from severe mixed hearing loss. She had her first hearing aid, a Widex Senso CIC+, fitted in January 2002 and changed to a Senso Diva in-the-ear model in August 2002.
Thanks to the hearing rehabilitation and digital technology provided by Widex Hong Kong, Jacqueline Law made a spectacular comeback after 2 years’ withdrawal from the spotlight. Today Jacqueline is an all-round artist who has starred in numerous TV series and stage performances. She is also a writer and radio-show host. Among the media organisations which she has worked with are TVB, ATV Phoenix TV, RTHK, commercial radio and Metro Radio.
